Just got back from Fosse Park. I only went to get a birthday present for someone but couldn’t resist having a nosey round Boots whilst I was there. I had my make up done at the new BareMinerals counter, which was so weird because I had to take all my foundation off in the middle of the store so the girl could re-do it all for me with nothing but BareMinerals products. I think she might have picked a slightly too dark shade for the foundation as I’m feeling a bit orange, but it could be because she used blusher too and I don’t wear blusher normally. I didn’t like her lip choice either, it was the ‘freewill’ colour, but it made me look ill. But I was quite impressed with the foundation/concealer on their own and I loved the products she used to remove my make up. I’m definitely going to go back and purchase the cleanser and moisturiser, and she gave me a sample of the foundation with an adorable tiny kabuki brush so I’ll just see how that goes.
I had a proper sniff of the new Viktor & Rolf perfume too, and oh my god it is amazing. I think I even prefer it to the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, so I’ve added that to my christmas list. I jumped on the Essie nail polish bandwagon too - so deserving of the hype they’ve been receiving. I only brought the one colour (eternal optimist) but I’ll definitely be buying more. I’ve done two coats, but you could definitely get away with only doing one, I just prefer nail polish completely opaque. Also, it dries almost instantly! No sooner had I finished the first coat and closed the bottle to let it dry and I was opening it to do the second coat! We’ll see how long it lasts, but at this rate it may even replace OPI for my favourite nail brand!
